Hello there, how's it going? I'm a new member here, as you all can see. I haven't been a hippie very long, I do however take it seriously. I became a Vegan 2 days ago, and I'm never looking back to meat, I'm beginning to meditate aswell. I've stopped all means of violence, working on stopping the cursing and negativity towards others, whether it be a joke or not. However, I told my loved one that I was going to stop paintballing, and she told my best friend that she was pretty sad that I was going to stop. This means " We can't go shooting together anymore, I'm going to miss it. I'm sad now." So I wanted to know if Paintballing is in anyway against Hippie-ism?? Please answer ASAP. Peace and Love, John. Well, first of all, welcome ! Second of all, never change who you are to fit in. If you enjoy paintballing, why would you stop? There are no guidelines or set rules to being anyone. You are who you are! Don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise. Just be yourself; it is that simple. Also, congratulations on going vegan, although, I honestly do hope you made the change because you want to, and not because you feel you need to. If it is not the latter, you made a very wise choice!

No keep playing, paintball is a good fun game. I playa nd I love it, if anything it brings people together. I always get along with the people I shoot and the ones who shoot me. : ) I can't wait till my lil bro gets older and can play, he guna be the best.
paintballs contain gelatin, which is made with animal skin and bone, it is not vegan sorry. im not saying its anti-hippie or whatever, but it is not vegan, or even vegetarian.
You can play airsoft that's what i do. And i don't think airsoft is against hippies cause do i hurt or kill anyone while airsofting? It's just something fun i do.
I never knew paintballs contained gelatin, however, I should have known. What doesn't contain gelatin these days? It is a good thing I don't play paintball.
Never knew that neither . I've played paintball a few times, good fun with a large group of friends. Except when you run into eachother in small rooms, so you shoot from a very short distance. Those little paintballs sure hit you pretty hard from 3 meters :tongue:
I don't know why they need to use gelatin in the paintballs, they could esily use something vegetarian, like Veganin, it's what they usee in vegetarian jelly/jello.
A friendly game between friends, or those with like intrests? I don't see how that would be anti-hippie in any way. Besides, like someone said earlier, there are no real set rules to being a hippie.
Thank you guys for your support. At first, I made the change to Vegan because I've always hated animal cruelty. Now I realize that I should have stopped supporting meat YEARS ago!! Did you know that if Americans lowered their meat consumption by 10%, we could use that to farm and adequately feed each of the 60 millions starving? That's powerful. Anyways, thanks alot guys for your opinions and inputs, it means alot to me. Obviously Paintballing is against Vegetarian-sim, so I can't do that. I'll look into Veggie-Gelatin to see if they have it, and if not, Airsofting is always available right? Thanks again.
