My boyfriend and I are getting ready to move to Colorado Springs, CO, where I hope to get my graduate degree from Colorado State University. Neither my boyfriend or I have ever been to Colorado before, but are looking for a place near Colorado Springs where there may be some likeminded people, good music, and good eats for a starved vegetarian (I am convinced that there are about 3 vegetarians in Myrtle Beach including myself so eating out was always an issue). We love outdoor activities and really aren't looking to live in a city, looking more for a nature surrounded sanctuary to call our home for the next couple of years while I complete my studies. We don't really have much money, so we need a fairly inexpensive place. I also have worked in a natural food store for the past couple of years and would love an area that would have at least one. Any suggestions of places to start looking would be grately appreciated!!!
next to the Springs, is Manitou Springs (it's right at Garden of the Gods on the north side of the CS globoplex. I'm not positive which side of CS CSU-Colorado Spring is, but if it is up by the Academy, Manitou is a great option.
Whole Foods has at least one store in the Springs, in the briargate area. But you will meet more hippies in Manitou. And it is a nice little community. When you get here, go to The Poppy Seed in Manitou for hemp clothes, posters, incense, and tapestries. Peace, Love, Run Naked.
manitou is gorgeous doesnt suprise me that its a good hippy domain, but ive yet to meet a fellow hippy in colorado except for at a primus concert
