Lifetime Goals

What are some of your lifetime goals? I've recently started putting together some things I want to do before I die, and I was curious what other people hope to see/experience/accomplish.

House- kids- degree in nutrition- travel the world- beach house- camp and hike all over the U.S.- cure a disease- skydive.

 

To one day adopt and raise a child...probably distant future
To travel around the majority of the world
To become fluent in more languages
To make a great difference to a large number of people...possibly by setting up an orphanage somewhere where its most needed when im older
To get a little bit of land somewhere for me and my fiancé to finally settle on after many years travelling/getting qualifications/learning, so we can grow ALL our own food, and share it with goats and piggies and all kinds of creatures (including rescue bunny rabbits)
To teach
Uhm...
And learn as much as possible

 

To find enduring happiness in whatever form it happens to assume... to fill whatever roles await me- father, husband, or whatever... with a passion that brings out the best in me and those around me.

I apologize for the vagueness...

I made a life list a little while ago-I'm still adding to it. Here is my list-sorry, it's kind of long, I just pasted the whole thing-haha

*Visit every state and national park
*Make everyone I meet smile
*Publish AT LEAST ONE novel
*Give my children all I can someday
*Make it to the news at least once for something good
*Always fight for peace
*Help as many people as I can
*Go to Italy
*Do good in college
*Get at least one Ph. D.
*Learn a few foreign languages
*Start a charity
*Make every place I work a fun place
*Always share ideas to make our world better
*Help people gain confidence
*Learn and grow herbs so that I can make my own skincare products
*Sell at Brimfield at least once
*Take pictures and start a photo journal
*Get more organized
*Kiss under a mistletoe
*Read more
*Make my name known
*Get a tattoo
*Kiss in the rain
*Start my own business-even if it is just online
*Research my geneology
*Finish what I start
*Win the Nobel Peace Prize
*See all 50 states and write logs on my experiences there
*Spend more time outside
*Dance more
*Go on road trips with no destination
*Make my own clothes
*Meet someone else named Malia
*Learn as much as I can on everything that strikes me as interesting
*Investigate haunted houses
*Go scuba diving
*Save someone's life
*Build my own house-my way
*Create a list of must-read books and read them
*Lose my pet allergy
*Learn to cook
*Send a message in a bottle
*See an opera
*Create a budget and stick to it
*Talk to a felon about their crime and help them so they don't do it again
*Teach communication
*Do more in my community
*Start a writer's circle
*Start a support group where women can make friends
*Show my family I love them and talk to them more than I do
*Take a meditation retreat
*Let my hair grow very very long, then chop it and donate it
*Learn to build all of my own furniture
*Learn palmistry (better)
*Learn numerology (better)
*Practice tarot more
*Learn new words
*Don't think-just do
*Lose my fear of change
*Learn aromatherapy
*Dance in the rain
*Take a road trip, making only left hand turns
*Keep a happy list on me at all times of all things that make me happy

*Help the environment as much as I can
*Plant a tree AT LEAST once a year
*Learn to work on a car better
*Learn how to build/design/fix a house

*Never live in the past
*Get over grudges held against my family

Ummm maybe get married.....still not sure about that.

i still stick by what i wrote earlier

 

Earn a black belt in brazilian jujutsu. Open Lethwei academy, to help youngsters and all to master war and peace.

Expand folding @ home farm. (Computer biomedical research clsuter.)

Go to Film school. Drop out of film school. Make my films.

And if i get the chance, seduce an alien.

Ohhh, I have a few goals in mind

*Marriage (seems I'm already close to that goal!)
*Watching at least one child of my own grow into a beautiful human being
*Travel! I've never been out of the South EVER and I'm desperate to see the rest of the world
*Have sex with a girl
*Move out of this god forsaken town
*Understand exactly what the hell this has all been for

 

i don't want to kill Castro, i hate communists but El Presidente' is an exception
i'd rather kill Putin or Lukashenko or Kim Jong Il

 

I'd like to...

1. Build my own house with my own hands one day, not just pay somebody to build it for me.
2. Have and raise children with somebody I love.
3. Walk 5000kms in one year. Probably from Thailand to India via Laos, China, Tibet, Nepal.

the first two are real long-termers but I will probably attempt number 3 in March 2009.

- spend a year travelling Canada

that's it for now...

 

* make a happy family
* learn few languages (French, Italian, Spanish, Russian...)
* open my bookshop (or even beter a publishing company)
* write at least one book (with a good point! )
* go to Paris
* get a beutiful apartement wich i will design myself and live in it in peace
* find and keep wonderful people as friends

 

I can only think of a couple off the top of my head right now--

Be a contestant on Jeopardy.
Have my own business.

The rest of my goals are more short-term.

 

Be careful where you go whale watching. I'm not sure about in Canada, but I know in New England-you don't see a THING! I went 4 or 5 times and only saw 2 or 3 ends-of-fins.
