When i lived on campus at university we had a hedgehog that would shuffle about late at night just when everyone was staggering back from a night out-of course, a hedgehog randomly wandering around campus was the most amazing thing to see ever when you were really drunk or high. It sort of became the campus mascot.

    Long live the hedgehog!

Kind of, they have shorter spines which don't come out so easily and they curl into a ball for self defence

We had a hedgehog in the garden a few days back, gave him some food and water and left him to it :p

aw. how cute. i tripped over an armadillo once and another time accidentally kicked a coiled rattlesnack in the head while it was buzzing at me. i'd rather see a hedgehog.

I had to move a hedgehog the other day because it was rummaging through rubbish.

i startled a cute little skunk in my back yard. it didn't spray or smell bad, and it got startled by my cat, too, but it didn't spray my cat, either.

Be wonderful beasts if you could train them to stay in your garden, get rid of your slug problems. :)

I think the first hegdehog ive ever seen (and only) was dead lying on the path as i walked home. That or it was sleeping but why in the middle of the path? ahh well it was gone the next day.
Cant be too sure i might've seen some before that i cant remember.
