There's anchovies in Thousand Island dressing? yuk! Geez first you make my yogurt sound awful & now this....LMAO! Actually I haven't been in a Carl's JR for years~whenever I went with a friend to 1 in AZ I liked getting a side order the fried Zucchini.
my guess is worchestershire in the 1000 Island. since I don't do much based on mayo or ketchup, It's not something I've had more than twice in my life.
I don't think this will help nationwide, but I am sharing anyway. Today I was straving while at my local outlet and had no food at home. I went to the 1 of 2 food places at the outlet. The place was called Tacone. The workers were wonderful and listened to my thousand questions about whether their was dairy or eggs in the tortillas. They improvised a baja bowl, taking out all the meat and cheese. (rice had no broth, so no worries) The fire roasted veggies were delicious with the combo of rice salsa and black beans. I was amazzed at how they wee so willing to accomodate.
in the Colorado Front Range, look to Tokyo Joe's Boulder Bowl. Only one sauce, oyako, has animal product. of national yuppie burrito chains, Qdoba is slightly more veg friendly, with black AND pinto beans cooked vegetarian. Chipotle's pintos have pork. Qdoba's broth at my local stores is vegetarian, so the tortilla soup is veg. Baja Fresh is pretty unfriendly aside from the black bean burrito, and no cheese is a foreign concept to the cooks.
my local qdoba is very veg friendly. i love it. im actually about to head there now. i also work at fazolis and make sure that everything that is veg stays veg and is not cross contaminated. and if a person orders something, say a baked spaghetti and we are out of marinara momentarily i make sure they ask before just using meat sauce. and we will make most anything without meat. So if your in Frankfort then fazolis is a good optio
yep. Anchovies hide in Worchestershire sauce, as well. check on eggs in ceasar dressing, too. (and the usual suspects: ranch-dairy and commonly eggs from the mayo in the base, thousand island can have eggs through the mayo)
Lists like this are good for reference but you need to be careful since they're often outdated. If you're unsure of something check! Either check the company's website or e-mail them.
