hi everyone, this is kind of weird and creepy and the show was apparently banned from tv. http://youtube.com/watch?v=cqi5F5MqqTQ peace
Ahahaha that was funny. Yeah it's pretty intense for a kids show, i mean imagine being a 6yo and being told that life is only a dream and that you're only a thought, that would have to fuck with you haha. peace
I actually find it very interesting, although I must agree that no person with a reasonably undeveloped mind (0-10?) should see it.
I agree. I also find it interesting, but I think it is not very well suited for young people. It has concepts that would confuse children, not to mention scare them. I know I would be terrified if I watched this under the age of 10.
I sat by myself and wondered what was the purpose .. the meaning I questioned what God was... maybe everything...clouds, trees, nature or possible we were just his play-thing something to amuse him .. controlled by his thoughts or at least directed by them I had these thoughts when I was seven
Awesome. I don't know how this would effect a child under the age of 7. I don't know if they would understand. We infantise children because we assume they can't understand, or that these kind of thoughts would be somehow "destructive" to their development. So they are fed kids shows like Barney and Hi-5 and Bear in the Big Blue House (excellent show tho ). But like the post above ^^ even at the age of seven I knew the idea of an all-knowing, all-loving God had to be fantasy, given the suffering of humankind. I had severe asthma at the time and asked my mum "why did God give me asthma" and "why does God let kids starve in Africa" after seeing World Vision ads on TV. Kids aren't as dumb as most adults think. I'm sure a lot of kids have asked the fundamental question "why am I here?"
Well you DO have to be somewhat precautious around children because it does affect their minds. Here's an example... 2 little girls, each of them are 4 years old, Both are at different malls, and they each wandered away from their parents..... Girl #1 Bumps into a Male adult and says "Mister, do you know where my mommy is " The man says "Oh my, your lost? Well let me help you find her" He goes to security and in time locates the parents. The child will see these male adult figures as someone willing to help... Girl #2 Bumps into a Male adult and says "Mister, do you know where my mommy is " The man says (in a creepy pedofile voice) "You can't fiiind your momy? Ha Ha get away from me you pesky little miscrient before I kill you and eat you brains!!!!" The child runs in fear screaming and yelling until she is found by her parents. The child will see male adult figures as someone scary and should be avoided. So as their lives go on Girl #1 remains with her curiosity and being open with strangers therefore learning more from their knowledge. As on the other hand Girl #2 avoids and is frieghtened by these strangers in turn making her meet less people, and learning less from these people. She should have no problem talking to these strangers because they are the same people Girl #1 meets and greets but because of previous scenario's in her sub-conscious....she just doesn't. So as you see, sometimes children are unable to "interpret things" the way that they should be seen. The child can't be told these things either, they can only see, try to comprehend, and move on. Basic Psychology........The Mind Is A Powerful Thing!! ~PeAcE~
I never doubted some children, if not all, question life's purpose. In fact, I did as a child. Not every television show targeted for children has to be peachy and perfect, but it doesn't have to have concepts that will make them believe life is pointless because we're all just dolls played with by an evil greater force. The brain of a child is not as well suited for the abstract thinking young adults and adults can do. I am just going by biology and basic psychology here.
