been in colorado for a year now, havent met a single hippy regardless im just trying to find someone with common grounds in theory and life.
you are in COLORADO SPRINGS. There's an anti hippie bubble over the town that causes hippies to blow up. That's why Colorado has great rainbows. Seriously, go over to Manitou, or come north to Denver/ Boulder and environs. we are here. Speaking of rainbows, we hosted the Family July 2006 outside of Steamboat.
Tony's drum circle (he's a great cat..make sure you meet his family) GREETINGS ALL ….Well its that time of year again summer drumming in MANITOU SPRINGS! YEA! We have a big change as we are going to be moving the location of the circle this summer. We will be about 6 blocks east of the park we were in. The new park is Schryver Park in front of the Manitou pool building. . So Grab your drums and your dancing shoes and join us starting May 17th from 6-9pm at the new l location Schryver Park at 202 Manitou Avenue Taking Colorado Avenue west, just as you pass under highway 24, we are on the right, across the street from the Sinclair gas station. he's had classes at the Colorado Springs Community for spiritual Living Center 3685 Jeannine Drive. here's a Manitou round up: http://www.manitoucafe.com/ even meet up .com has CS area hippies. http://hippies.meetup.com/cities/us/co/colorado_springs/?gj=sj40 and the drummers, too: http://www.springsgov.com/SectionIndex.asp?SectionID=19 medical MJ? http://medmarijuana.meetup.com/126/ There is a serious hippy thang going on most nights in Denver, Boulder's Pearl Street on any given weekend, Ned has an enclave of hip sorts. If you can, head over to Crestone, too. You just hit the anti-hippie bubble in CS. Dobson and his SoCal uptight fundies in clean white undies spoiled it. but for a close/quick escape, see if the bus has a decent connect to Manitou. I'm pretty unimpressed with the bus' web page http://www.springsgov.com/SectionIndex.asp?SectionID=19 but once the trip planner software gets up there, if it is like RTD's it'll be pretty good. (I wonder why the two systems cannot share technology? They are not competitors.) for a road trip, you CAN get from CS to Boulder on the bus: FREX goes to Denver, train to Union Station then the B route to Boulder. I'd compare time and price with Greyhound, though.
that meet up was CS, look up Denver's. I know there's a compassion club round here. I'm investigating getting on the reg., too. Chronic lifelong pain.
brother. you need to come down to manitou. i'll try to introduced you to some off the katz down here. you'll dig man
redneck overrun suburbs? Englewood? get real. I walk through a large part of Englewood on a weekly basis and I see folks of all walks of like. and you can travel to Boulder. you just have to figure it out. hint: it has three letters.
come to Englewood, there arent many, but denver is not far away and the people here are pretty chill anyways.
Bingo, Show! (sez a pass carrier..damn. Have to get a new one today.) Jen, come to Swallow Hill tonight for the holiday party. $5 and a concert is involved. Corner of Broadway and Yale on the Englewood/ Denver line. grab the 0 or 27 bus up Broadway.
