I got a tooth pulled today. Baby tooth that never got loose, but I was wondering if it was ok to still smoke
Well the baby tooth is up there. It just never got a chance to push the tooth out of the way. I can see it a little bit in the gums. SOO freakin hard! >.> (not smoking)
I would wait till your new tooth grows in before smoking to be on the safe side, plus you will get a little break.
Vaporize or cook your weed. You can still get high, and you'll enjoy the change of pace from smoking it all the time Dont smoke though, it can cause a lot of problems. Thats crazy, you've had a baby tooth up until age 18!
dude thats bs, you can still smoke your weed , just dont smoke as much, say if u have a stash - finish it and cool, just dont keep blazing everyday
yeah, i'd recommend eating it, personally. i'd advise against smoking ANYTHING for a couple days at least. thing is i'd be afraid of getting dry socket, but i'm by NO means qualified to say thats a risk, and it very well may not be. if it were, the dr would almost definitely have warned you about the possibility of getting dry socket (a VERY painful condition, from what i hear, and the treatment is also quite unpleasant) dry socket can be caused by a number of different things, all of them involving a certain way of using your mouth more than the actual act of smoking. when i had my wisdom teeth removed, i received VERY strong warning about this condition from the oral surgeon, and was told to avoid any type of sucking motion at all. a few days after they said i could smoke or whatever i wanted again, i tried smoking a cigar (big fan of cigars, and i'd been miserable the past few days and thought i deserved one for waiting so long)....well, i didnt get dry socket, but it sure felt like hell every time i tried to puff on it...felt like it ripped the stitches clean out! quite unpleasant....luckily i turned out fine, though. it had been a day or two after i was told it was ok, afterall, and i could tell within the first few puffs i should stop and did so. while i couldnt smoke, i got some high quality gear and hit a bowl through my nose every once in a while to help me feel a little better....but this was very uncomfortable for me so i didnt do it often! the vicodin helped a lot, especially with a little wine. if you are at risk for dry socket, do not smoke, do not drink through a straw, do not use a vaporiser, don't suck any penises.... but this is a serious enough and common enough complication, that if you were truly at risk the dr almost surely would have told you. i'd call them and ask if its still ok to smoke cigarettes the next few days...if they say yes, youre fine, then it should also be fine to smoke a nice bowl. after all, you had a baby tooth pulled and i had four partially exposed wisdom teeth cut out of my jaws...there is a bit of a difference.... but i'd be cautious!
When I had my four wisdom teeth taken out, I wasn't allowed to drink with a straw or smoke. So unless you want to explode the sutures in your gums and cause massive bleeding, how about taking a week off?
Actually their's nothing in my gums. They just pulled the tooth out, and then I left with guase in my mouth! I probably didn't have sutures, because it was a baby tooth. I think it was dead. It was dark, so I'm pretty sure it was disconnected from whatever, but still in there. He didn't warn me about smoking, but I got some darvacet. Not sure if that's the right way to spell it. I don't really need em, I took two. I have some left over
if you had to have gauze when you left, there was a wound of sorts. i really think they would have told you first if it would be an issue, but you should be as careful as possible regardless; doctors too are human and make mistakes, and things at times will slip their minds. call and ask. its free, and they can tell you for sure. we can't. why trust stoners over doctors? i'd say its likely you can smoke, but if you cant you need to know. call and ask if you can smoke cigarettes. seriously, dry socket is not something you'd want to fuck around with. too risky in my opinion.
Dont smoke. Anytime you smoke, when my brother got one of his baby teeth takin out 5 years ago he smoked and it got infected and then when he got his wisdom teeth taken out it got infected. So yeah i wouldnt smoke if i were you. It wont be that long, ive gone 3 weeks without smoking so im sure you can quit for a while, just stay away from it.
BE CAREFUL! you don't want dry socket. thats why you cant use a straw when you get wisdoms taken out. either have someone else pull the hit for you, or pick a piece that isn't hard to hit. NO SUCTION!!!! Dry socket is BAD.
