Eyes open. The stench of stale vomit and urine hits my nostrils like a train wreck, as I walk through the neon-lit alleys. Jazz dances in the air, free and clear for me to enjoy. The pain of a city is almost Palpable in the atmosphere. Eyes closed. The scent of freshly cut green grass lingers as I stroll through a warm, inviting cement trail through purple and yellow and white flowers, welcoming me with every step I take. Paradise on Earth. Eyes open. Strangers shout at one another, cameras flash their bright, white lights as a young woman exposes her hard pink nipples for the crowds, cheap plastic beads shower down upon the victim of her own sexuality. Eyes closed. Hummingbirds dart and dash among the nectar filled lilacs, amongst the buzzing of honey bees and floating orange and yellow monarchs, just looking for their next meal. Eyes open. Clopping horses carry blue uniforms, watching out for mischief before it breaks out and becomes out of hand. A young man stumbles out of a bar, a clear cup full of coke and liquor rests in his Unsteady hands. A different, but equally beautiful paradise of a city. Peace and love
