Hello, my son everyday takes his little bucket that holds his toys in it and instead of playing with the toys, he puts the bucket on his head and runs around screaming as loud as he can. And he puts this golden bead necklace on first, but I wear prayer beads all the time so I figured he is just copying me on that part. But this one girl said the bucket may as well be a lampshade. Is this the signs of a future drunk? We are 100% Irish by the way. I dont want my Ruby to be a drunk, he's so nice! And another thing, whenever I feed him his dinner, he never wants to eat. He eats like 5-10 bites, and then he puts his bucket back on and starts screaming like a wild boy. Is it my cooking? Or does some babies just not want to eat? This is what he looks like, by the way. He seems like a healthy normal baby, right?
Junji... I think I actually have a pic on my cell of Udu with his bucket Ill send it to you as soon as I have them on the computer.
Iliana! Thank you! Then the good people of hipforums can see magic udu rubitron transformer boy Jack in all his glory  -
i cannot wait to see the magic udu rubitron transformer boy Jack in all his glory.... he sounds like a perfectly normal kid to me...sounds like he's A LOT of fun to be around...
haha you said his full name! That's so nice of you yea soon as she sends it to me I will post it. Or Iliana you can post it, if you dont mind? Yes and he is a lot of fun to be around, he is very goofy and fun loving, and he is learning so many new things so quickly. He plays this one game that he acts like hes sleeping, he pretends that hes snoring and then he jumps up laughing. But, so you think his not wanting to eat dinner is normal? I mean apparently he eats plenty of food at his daycare, just never with me. He does eat lunch when I have him on the weekend however, and he eats breakfast too, so I guess it is normal. Just kind of worried me is all :& -
I wouldn't worry too much. I have 5 cousins that are about his age, or look about his age. One of my cousins wouldn't really eat or drink, but her parents would just make her eat a certain amount and she eventaully just got out of it. hahahaha, as far as running around with a bucket on his head, I belive that kids enjoy doing things like that
Riley is a screamer too... can he talk? Alot of kids get frustrated and scream when they want to express themselves with words when they can't. I think he sounds healthy, creative, active, intelligent and full of imagination. He sounds like one of those kids who enjoys using the boxes the toys come in rather than the toys themselves. I bet he'd love to build a "box city" or clubhouse. Or a cool newspaper hat. One question... does Jack go to the bathroom at least once a day normally? If he does then hes probably just full by the end of the day. Riley starts out the day with so much eating I wonder where she puts it but by the end of the day I know she'll hardley eat her dinner. Little kids eat for survival rather than out of boredom or depression like some adults. So, to them, if they aren't hungry they could care less... they've got more important things to do... like the bucket hat game. I hope that helps.
Thanks Eryn Yea, he does go to the bathroom normally at least once every night. And he always has energy. So now Im sure that he is healthy in that respect. And about the talking, I think you are right about this too, (and you would know lol) because he does talk some words, but not sentences yet, so this must be what he is trying to do. Thanks again!
My kids never ate much either - not until they were 4-5, and then they went on another food-strike from about 5 to about 7-ish. Food just isn't a priority to them. (sigh) But they're healthy, so I try not to worry too much. As for the bucket... both of my kids did that too. My son "stole" the lampshade from our plastic camp-lantern and would wear it around ALL day long. We used to call him Commander Lampshade! I might have a picture of that somewhere... have to see. And my daughter would wear one of her little tin pails on her head too. She said it was her rain-hat. (though she had an actual rain-hat too, she preferred the pail) I always figured it was some sort of imagination/dress-up phase they were going through! love, mom
My five year old eats about every third day or so. Theother days he just snacks. I think it's normal for them to stop or really slow down eating sometime between one and two. For one thing, they are just to busy to eat. It's not a high priority to them. Eating the way Riley does would really be best for all of us. They say we should eat a huge breakfast, a medium size lunch and a very light dinner. I've seen it written in a really cute way, but that's the jist of it. My son loves to wear a dragon cape with his cloth sword on his belt and a plastic bucket from some kind of cheap cheese doodles my husband bought. He runs all over the yard dressed like that killing dragons and bad guys as he goes. Sometimes he carries a shield but not always. Kathi
My son went thru a bucket phase! And he also never liked to eat, even now at 4 years old, his 10 month old sister eats like 3 times as much! sounds normal to me!
I remember when he would put on my my orange shoes He would wear them on the wrong foot and walk like a duck what and Udu!
Hey, a promise is a promise I wish I had more pictures of him, I really need to get my own camera. I would love so much to start a photo album of him. Kind of lame, I guess Im becoming more of a parent
