I did this once on an old poetry forum I used to visit. I don't know if it has ever been done here, I'm new though, so don't get mad if this is all an old idea! But either way, it's still fun. I love to do this when I really want to write a poem but have writers block. Whatcha do is type random letters without looking at the keyboard. lkjsdfnmv ng It doesn't matter how many you type or what letters you have. You can use spaces to your advantage if you would like, or you don't have to if you don't want to. (I'm just realized that I'm basically making up rules to let you know that you don't have to have rules at all, haha) Next you spread them out like this. l k j s d f n m v n g Now ya write a poem! looking out the window thinking... keeping myself and my feelings inside this wonderful new place just sharing them with you, sharing them with you and nobody else can hear. dreams appear so much more lately, some of more dreams, and hopes and wonders, and sometimes nothing, really. most of the time I just dream of you, though. very wonderful dreams, they are, and you're there beside me. nothing could be strong enough to break us. gravity pulls me to you. I guess I really must have my man on my mind, because these letters just led my mind straight to him. I love doing this! It's interesting to see what your mind comes up with. Ok, now everyone try it, hehe
Interesting idea. Let me try: jlkliuakfjm jumping to conclusions looking for solutions kissing conversations ill-timed celebrations upper class exclusions absolute illusions knowing degradation fucking constipation join the revolution marijuana nation. Okay, okay. I absolutely have no idea what this is all about. Just wanted to play with words and rhymes. This is absolute nonsense. But I like your idea, ms. wallflower.
If it works for you, use it. Inspiration is a whore but it won't work for pay. What I find helps me is simply to go out and take a long walk. Ideas come easily and you have the time by yourself to have that all important dialogue with whatever it is that's in you and has followed you since birth.
gtsdfgjhgdbi goodbye, dear friend the end is near slowly our souls part devoid now of all fear floating in nothingness gifted by death joining the masses he breathes his last breath goodbye, dear friend death has taken you now but is this the end? I think I'll go find out now Wow, even with the template I couldn't produce decent poetry. Surprise surprise.
