Is that the one with the Multi-Cyclone? This robot doesn't use suction at all. Just brushes.
It isn't as loud as your basic household Vac, but still kinda loud.

i bet it would be a pretty good thing to have. but my room is always so messy it would be trapped in a corner all the time haha.

Corners aren't a problem. It turns around. But! Clothes and curtains on the floor, it gets tangled. Just like a regular Vac. But, it's still pretty cool.

Yes. they are made to last, and they have PET friendly models. (Very quiet so it won't scare them) Cat's would have FUN chasing the silly thing around the place.

Nah. It's too small for that. It is about 14 inches in diameter and about 2.5 inches high. But the kitties might try to ride it...

2 questions. First, how is it powered? Rechargable batteries? And if so, how long will it run on a full charge. Secondly, will it work on shag carpeting?

Yes. Rechargeable. Lasts about an hour and half. Works on shag, tile and linoleum.

I don't have a vacuum cleaner at all. But that's allright cause I never feel the need to clean up after myself anyway. :)

How does this relate to Nevada, by the way?

Well, it's not just ABOUT Nevada. This is local talking about hippies and our tecno-toys. A Robot in this case.
A company called 'iRobot' makes this thing. Yeah they got a website.

Cool, I might have to look into one of these things. I was thinking it might not work on a shag carpet, as that is what I have through the entire house.

As for a Nevada forum, hey, we is just shootin the shit here. Not every single thread has to have something to do precisely with the State of Nevada. Sometimes we just like to talk about whatever is on our minds. All is welcome to join in, but please dont chastise us for shootin the shit every once in awhile.

Oh of course not, I was not trying to chastise.
I see now, but I can't say I know much about techno toys. Or uh, much at all, really.

Zilla gets kinda motherly sometimes. (Kidding Zilla!)
But this robot is just fun to watch. (When I'm stoned)
Plus it does a nice job on the floors so that I don't have to.
My apartment is 720 sq. ft. this thing runs over an hour and hits it all.
That's Tile, Linoleum and the carpeting. All for the same $200 I might pay for a regular vac that YOU have to move around.
    This is 'George Jetson' shit!

Anything technical tends to break in a matter of days if left in my care. :(
