Just finished this hoodie, for the lovely Miss dreadlochness! I modeled it myself, and I liked the shots of the front so much there's a buunnch of em. Click the thumbnails for the big images...
OH MY GOD WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW MUCH I LOVE IT! i cannot WAIT to get this in the mail. order stuff from linnea, she's unbelievable!
Wowzer, great job! What is that sign, Leo? The appliqué work looks impeccable. Crazy how you made the hood into almost a big, funky bell hat too. Great facial expressions on the model.
Yay! I'm glad you like it! I really like how the appliques came out... do you think it's a pretty good representation of your tat design? I dig the variegated thread around the back anyway... Oh yeah - stash pockets. One in the left sleeve, one inside the hood. I put loops inside the v-neck and put a long drawstring on the hood so when you need to you can bundle up, but the rest of the time you'll have easy-access to the breast pockets (one on each side)
seriously, the appliques are a gorgeous representation of my tattoo. i love how the colors worked out, too. variegated thread is my favorite thing about life, really. it's gorgeous. and YESSSS stash/phone/ipod pockets. i totally forgot about those. you are so great. i am going to live in this hoodie. who needs to pay rent when you can live inside patchworking?
Thanks ladies! I always say it. I love custom work! Especially for forumers, it's fun, since I get to know y'all so much better by it, and it's so fun to make a piece knowing who will be wearing it in the end!
awesome job! lol, i love the hood (I like those big hood type jackets!) how much do you charge for something like that?
Thanks! This one came out to $200 with shipping... But it's got the super-tight patchwork and two appliqués. If anyone's interested in one I *can* make them for less, this is just a very sweet design and popular style.
