May the stars and stripes surround you With the memories of yesterday. May you bow your head in silence And feel thankful for today. May the moments of tomorrow's coming Show you the very way. For tragedy has happened, It's only been six years from this day. Men and women gone forever, But they remain in our hearts. Family and friends mourn the day Their lives were torn apart. You remember where you were that day And your reaction of the news. You remember your feelings, thoughts, and fears, Knowing what this country was going through. It takes a while to recuperate From a tragedy so severe. But at least we know where we stand And comfort of one-another is near. We lost a piece of our hearts that day Those towers came crashing down. A peace of mind is the knowing Of the affinity we have found. ~Malia Moriarty
everyone is always talking about how the towers were lost...people in the pentagon died also...i personally dont know anyone that died...but my dad was right next door to the pentagon when the plane hit it. I was sitting in my fourth grade classroom at the time...our teachers and principle kept lying to us as the kids slowly began to leave with their parents. My two siblings and i were the last to leave the school before they were ordered to go into shut down.
