haha did you guys ever hear how the beatles were introduced to drugs? bob dylan was hanging out with them in a hotel and the beatles sang a song it might have been she wants a ticket to ride, and bob dylan though they were singing about weed. so he left and a little bit later he came back to the hotel with some weed and the beatles got high.
no I didnt hear that but I heard paul say they were "smoking marijuana for breakfast" during the HELP era.
The song was I Wanna Hold Your Hand. The part that goes "I can't hide, I can't hide", Bob thought it was "I get high, I get high".
The Bob and the Pot story is funny, but whats better is how George and John got turned on to LSD at George's Dentist's house. George and his wife Patti and John and his wife Cynthia went to a dinner party at George's dentist's house in 1966, and the dentist slipped acid into theuir coffee. John started getting all paranoid after the dentist told them what he'd done, and thought the guy wanted them to stick around for an orgy. So George and John and Wives left in George's car. He said he was maintaining 18 miles an hour while Patti was in the backseat threatening to get out and smash shop windows. They ended up at this club, and in the elevator a tiny red light somehow made them all think they were on a lift to Hell, and they fell out of the lift all hysterical. They stayed for a little while and then went back to George's house in Esher. George stayed on the roof having all these psychadelic visions of God and the nature of the universe, Cynthia was terrified and tried to make herself ill, and John thought the Esher house was a submarine and he was flying it over George's Garden. This story is complied from a number of stories I read concerning that night, but I paraphrased. ~Layla

Damn that dentist, it was a funny story but damn that dentist! and the Beatles weren't really introduced to drugs by dylan. pot, yes. drugs, no. they'd been popping pills since the hamburg days. their image might have been clean but the boys themselves were far from it.
Hahahah oh yeah,i've listened about this LSD story too. I think it must be a really weird thing,i'm sure i would get crazy if i was in their places,thinking the elevator was on fire lol
