Isn't it obvious that they USED her? She is very unstable, and people love to see a train wreck as long as it's not themselves. That's why the MTV awards show used her as the opening act. They knew she wouldn't perform well, but that it would draw in the viewers. I am also certain that she was told what to wear, that way they could go off on her being "fat." I feel no sympathy for anyone who chooses to get into that business, and certainly not for parents who force their children into showbusiness at such an early age. These people are getting what they asked for, just so they could be rich and famous. Fame can really only go so far when that fame is based on image alone. She never had any talent to begin with, so if she cannot be judged on those merits, what can she be judged on other than her looks? If she was of sound mind, she would have realized this before going on stage and making an ass of herself, but obviously she has serious psychological problems and is allowing (likely unknowingly) the industry to push her around. In the end, nobody is to blame but her and her parents. I feel no pity for her.

 

All I have to say is she's not fat. Some people's definitions of "fat" must be way diff. then mine.....

 

Of course she's not fat. But she's a far cry from what she used to be. And like I said, in the entertainment business, if a person cannot be judged on their talent (because they have none), then what can they be judged on? And what did she expect by going onstage in the mental state that she's in? There is nobody to blame really but herself. Nobody is forcing a gun to her head and telling her to make new records and appearances on these shows. This is what happens when people place money and fame ahead of actual living. She is the one who dug the hole that she's in.

no, i blame her parents. i always have. otherwise i COMPLETELY agree with you. she's a victim of the stage parent. and she's unravelling because of it. bless her heart, she was sold into slavery, the pros call it the "stable" and the people that are supposed to help them "handlers." what kind of shit is that? she's a true victim. and the obscene part is her body is glorious right now, but all the people that she stupidly thought, in her naivite were her "friends" are showing their true colors. she was a sex slave and work horse, and now she's "normal." which means she still 99% more attractive than the vast majority of the women walking around. i think it's disgusting, people calling her fat. i don't give a flip flying fuck in a hurricane about her lack of talent. she was always talentless. but now that she's got an additional 10 pounds on her the sharks are circling the blood. fuck britney the "star." i see this as an ultimate vindication of everything, all the hypocrisy, of the american pop media.

I watched it last night on youtube. She didn't look fat to me... she just looked... like she totally didn't want to be there.

Same thing I thought, I thought she looked amazing after having two kids. The only thing I didn't care for was how her hair looked.... but there only so much you can do to fix a shaved head.
