i lurv brunch. good greasy breakfast food at 2pm, hells yeah. we usually hit up the bonanza sunday buffet when doing brunch, that happens every couple months with me, my mom, her friends and usually my bf as well.
But would'nt brunch be after breakfast before lunch like 10:00 or something technically? 2:00 is just like late lunch or early supper.
But the question is- do you consider brunch more of a menu or time? I think it can be both really.......
There are brunch foods and there is a time that could be considered brunch but to me brunch is more the menu (what I eat) then the time......
If I eat a fuckin' cheeseburger at 9 I would consider it brunch but what about if i already eat breakfast at 7 and then I eat at like 10 that would be official "brunch" time right?
I think brunch CAN be a time but's it's seriously more a menu..... like if you combine champagne or bloody marys with an egg dish and some kind of meat- stuff you'd have at both breakfast and lunch and there is more food then breakfast.......
when i eat i eat. my meal sequence fallows my wake cycle. time of day being irrelivant to it. of course commercial munchaterias tend to be tied to the mainday cycle. which is one more reason i do most of my own cooking. alterday (i.e. nocturnal) person that i am. =^^= .../\...
I'm gonna remember that term...I love it! I've been working night shifts for a couple of years and my eating schedule has been screwed up for a long time. Brunch to me is when you don't eat for a few hours after you wake up, and you go for a plate with a filling meal but with a lean towards breakfast food. No matter what time of day it is, it depends on when you wake up.....and how long you wait to eat.
ME TOO......there was one place out in Cali that had a WONDERFUL Brunch Menu......I never did brunch till i stumbled on it there......lovley memories !!!
