The other day, I was sitting in the car with my boyfriend. I told him that I've been feeling like I should go to church, just once, but I don't really want to and I'll only go if I get some kind of sign.... I was really just being a jerk. Yesterday, we were driving down the road, and I just randomly started thinking about Walker, Texas Ranger.... I don't know where the hell it came from, but I was thinking about it. While I was thinking about it, we drove past this big message board that said: CHUCK NORRIS STAR OF WALKER, TEXAS RANGER HERE SEPTEMBER 19TH 7PM I was like: That's weird. I was just thinking about him. Then I realized that the message board for for Christ Church.... I got all freaked out and started telling my boyfriend what just happened... and he thought I was an idiot. Which I might be. But, anyway, I took, that as my sign. So I'm going to go see Chuck Norris at church... Is that just beyone believable? Because it really happened. Am I just crazy, or was it a sign???? Doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo.......
You thought of walker texas ranger, and then you saw that sign, and now you want to go to church? I'm lost.
I wanted a sign... then I was thinking about Chuck Norris, then I saw a marquis that said Chuck Norris would be visiting the church, so I took it as my sign......
It was a sign! You can't pick your signs! They are given to you! Gimme a break! I would have picked Billy Idol.
I think I would believe the JesusSpeak coming out of Chuck Norris just a little more than I would Ron Jeremy.... That would just be sacrilege...
Well, first off...you seem sold on the idea that it's a sign, so why are you asking us? Personally, I don't know why people put so much stock in coincidences, they are statistically common events and mean nothing in themselves. We seem to think they do, but I can't really explain why. Whatever. If you want to go to church, go to church, but why would you set conditions "if such and such happens, then I will, but not otherwise" Just decide on your own. In fact, I think you already had decided but felt like you shouldn't or something, thus you set up a requirement that would be easilly fulfilled. That is, you said "if a [unspecified] event occurs, which I'll know it when I see it, I'll go.
Yeah, it was something like that...... The downside is that I kind of want to see Chuck Norris more than I want to get all filled with the Holy Spirit.... which is bad.... I should get my priorities straight....
Meh, church probably won't fill you with anything more than free floating anxiety, annoyance at humanity, and a whole lotta boredom. Might as well go to get entertained, I say. Find the holy spirit on your own. Religion is like a gas station. You may need to make occasional stops, but the station is not the road, nor the destination.
wheres all the born agains congratulating you?? whos chuck norris??? happy If it was a spiritual event for you and it ment something go with your gut instinct its never wrong. when you become born again you'll still speak to me won't you? S
I don't think I need to be born again.... I'm doing just fine. Plus, I'm having a really hard time believing most of the stuff I've been taught all my life. I've decided to kind of ignore it....haha. I am really spiritual, though. I haven't been to church in at least four years.... my family hates me for it. I'm gonna go and take a picture and put it on my Christmas card so that everyone can hang it on their walls and leave me the hell alone! Chuck Norris is like a Karate expert who, for some reason, did a show where he was a Texas Ranger with a black sidekick and an ugly girlfriend.....
Chuck Norris is cool, but he's no Ron Jeremy. Has anyone ever heard Jim Norton's story about when he and Ron Jeremy had a threesome at the Vegas porn convention? F-ing hilarious!!!
A person will not see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.... Not a physical birth but a spiritual birth.
I've already done that before a long time ago when I went to church and everything, I've just kinda slacked off..... Can you be born again again? Like I said, though, I'm not even really sure if I still believe in all that stuff. I'm out of practice and I haven't seen a lot of good examples of why I should go to church. I used to be kind of picky, but now I'd just settle for one that doesn't have a damn basketball court... is that really necessary? Basketball wasn't in the Bible! You could have fed a whole village with that money!
Basketball court? Think of it this way. A church wants to be there for the comunity it is in. The basketball court is there not only for entertainment among Christians. But also to keep kids away from other things they may run into. A true church feeds the villiage you talk about and builds the court because God has blessed that church.
I wondered when the born agains would start going on.... Anyway hannah youve lost me whats chuck norris got to do with any of this, I have been trying to pay attention honest! S
Knowing that the lord worked in very mysterious ways, would make the lord's works very "un mysterious"
