http://in.reuters.com/article/topNews/idINIndia-29140020070824?sp=true its crazy how one of the most famous catholics alive was living a lie to everyone
It's hard to let the ego go, even for those who devout their live's to helping other in devotion to God. But, although her problems were very complicated, being a memeber of the faith that bases it's belief system on the Bible, and only the Bible, and only one perception of God (which, in itself is self-contradicting) it's not so suprising to see her lose the connection with the essence of her soul. Her own 'dark night' reminds me of my teenage years when I was feeling the presence of something unexplainable and barely comprehensible (mostly profound moments of intense euphoria and mind-funk on psychedelics) yet with the state of my life and the going-on's of the world I began to feel that life was pointless and hopeless. Then I was exposed to the true signifigance of the sound Om and my perception completley went upside down. But before that moment, I would have had NO ability to make a proper gathering of thought on that matter. Nor would anyone else. -
a more stupid friend of mine brought this up as a conversation peice and was so shocked that she would do such a thing, at first mention i was not suprised in the least Mother Teresa helped people, she saw many horrors and things the average person could not even comprehend, yet she always tried her best to help etc. imo one way of looking at it would be to say that she had seen such things in her life that she could no longer belive in the existance of a being of which would let such atrocities happen she was more about helping people than anything, religion came 2nd if anything
i'm sure in the end it became alot more about the helping than the church, why inject controversy into her situation if she didnt need to, it wouldnt have helped her in anyway so i'm sure it was in her best interest not to mention it
yeah right, she recived millions of dollars in donations and gave it all to the church and left the dieing to suffer and die, but at least she had them believing in god before they died. she believed that suffering was the way into heaven.
She dedicated her life to helping people. Actions speak louder than words, and I'm sure she has more actions than any 5 board members combined. Wonka: The fact that she gave the money to the church indicated that she truly believed they would do good with it. She was blind to the churches idecency, but that's not her fault. Judge her all you want, but she did more good in her life than you are likely to ever manage to accomplish. btw I'm an atheist so I'm not one of those zealots, I just know how to recognize a good person.
