Let me Introduce myself!

Hi, my name is Kelly and I live in Vermont. I am extremely interested in becoming an ex-pat or starting a homestead. I love animals. And I have a wonderful family. I confuse myself most days but I mean well...... so this is be offically introducing myself.

you love animals? so do I, im curretntly majoring in Pre- Veternary at Rutgers

 

I really really want to open a no kill shelter, where ANY animal would be taken in no questions asked. I am actually a nurse (I am a born care-giver) but when I finish school for that I am thinking of moving 2 1/2 hours away to take the Equine Studies Course @ VT Tech. Right now my husband and I are saving money to buy a large track (100 acres or more) of land because we are trying to start a homestead.

Thanks everyone! I am really excited about my life. And I'll be sure to let everyone know what's new, and when (or if) I start homesteading, everyone is invited to come stay for a while to introduce themselves and to make some new friends.

 

Welcome Moondancer. If you're thinking of heading down to southwest Virginia, take a look at Floyd county. There's a lot of homesteading types and intentional communities in the area. Good luck to you.

 

I used to live in Fauquier Co. in Bealeton, VA. I could never live in Virginia again after being in Vermont. I wouldn't leave Vermont, unless it's to become an ex-pat. But thanks anyway

Vermont looks amazing. Fall is a major tourist attraction because of the major beauty. We call the tourists Leaf Peepers. It's pretty cool when you live in a place that is so beautiful people pay to come here just to watch the scenery. And I live in a house on the lake. I have the perfect set up right now.
