For anyone bringing your young family to Southern Nevada, May I suggest horseback riding at 'Bonnie Springs Ranch'. They also have a train ride, and an old west town. with Mock gun-fights.
Do they still have all that. I remember going out there about 15 years ago, it was quite interesting, but havent been back since. And if they are going out that way, might as well take the Red Rock Loop and stop and climb on the rocks a bit.
As far as I know, Bonnie Springs ranch is still there. I drive west on Charleston and follow the signs. For Bycicle enthusiasts, the Red Rock recreation area has trails you can ride.
I've heard though, that one of the skateparks around red rock are going to start charging you to skate there. We do have several skateparks in the area, I just don't know where any of them are...
there is one up at aproximatly cheyenne and buffalo called "pro park" its behind the rainbow library.
Would YOU like to handle shit from folks your age Peace??? I can't make you a mod or anything, but if you want, you can field shit from folks your age or younger. It would help the Nevada forum grow.
if you would like to i dont mind at all. Im just not on here everyday with work/school and everything else it makes it hard to do freetime stuff. but i can try, that is if you dont mind.
That's cool. It won't be an official thing with the Hip Forums, but you're all I got to answer stuff from folks your age.
lol and im just a young yipper snapper. On the topic of this thread one thing that might interest some people under the age of 21 would be a couple of the botanical gardens here in vegas. they are listed on this website http://www.hotgardens.net/gardens_to_visit.htm
Yep those are some decent Desert gardens. And VERY low water consumption too, I'm told... Say... Are there still campsites at 'Valley Of Fire' Ntnl park? Some real fine hiking there, but bring safty gear (JIK).
i would assume there are still campsites there. Last time i was there was about 10 years ago when i first came to vegas on a scout camp out.
Man, last time I was there I was 14 with a friend and his older sister and her BF. My word. 32 years ago. (Never do the math! LMAO!)
if your under 21 or even 21 i would recommend growing a garden of some sort. to me it is somethign pleasant to do. Even though vegas gets pretty hot and has a weird climate it is still possible to grow a pretty good garden. if you want to and have questions dont be afraid to ask me, i would say i am pretty knowledgeable in growing plants in las vegas.
