I recently caught her performance on tv when she performed at the Lowlands festival and was quite surprised.
Normally im so not into rap music but i think she's very different, i quite like her weird beats and lyrics.
After listening to her new album i can say i'm hooked.
So what are your thoughts on M.I.A's new album Kala?

Yeah, that's a cool song. Samples "Straight to Hell" by the Clash, if you didn't know. $20 lifts the chorus from the Pixies' "Where's My Mind" too. She definitely references cool music anyway, lol.

$20 also samples blue monday, but I don't remember who did that song...I only remember it really because orgy did it a few years ago, and I recognized it as soon as I heard it.

I also just fell in love with the turn...basically I guess I can say I love the entire album. I think I still like arular just a bit more, but only because I've been listening to those songs longer.
