So I wrote all 3 of these at least two years ago and just felt like posting them.

    "You Speak To Me"
    Each syllable,
    Rolling off your tongue,
    Flowing from your lips.
    Joining together,
    And putting into perspective,
    The unique mood you hold.
    A rhythm and tempo,
    Smoothness in your tone,
Chosen words and vibe you give,
    All elaborating,
On what your heart says true.
    Calmer days,
    You’re feeling loved.
    A shorter phrase,
    A peaceful tone.
    You speak to me.
    Playful times,
    A kid at heart.
    Many words,
    A bumpy flow,
    I feel the fun.
    You speak to me.
    A day gone bad,
    A monotone sound.
    Long vowels,
    You annunciate the sluggish words,
    In a lazy fashion.
    The pain is there.
    You speak to me.
    Holding me tight,
    Whatever words,
    I love them all.
    I listen as,
    You speak to me.

    "Sunny Days"

The sunny days make me sad,
When a vision of me at my window,
    Looking upon the sun-setting sky,
With its radiant colors of purple and red,
You run up to my window,
    Smiling at me.
I crawl out and we join hands.
I feel the warm grass on my bare feet.
    We sit under the tree,
    Just staring,
    Barely smiling,
    Taking it all in,
    Disappears,
    Just a vision.

    "We Can’t All Be Happy"

Some people aren’t meant to be happy.
    It’s true.
    If the world were content,
    We wouldn’t feel compassion,
We wouldn’t strive to help others,
    We wouldn’t feel excited,
    We wouldn’t get butterflies,
We wouldn’t feel a sense of pride after healing from a heartbreak,
    If no such heartbreak existed.
    If all people were happy,
There would be no appreciation for beautiful moments,
    Perfect sunsets,
    Or true love.
Happiness is something we strive for,
But we aren’t all meant to obtain it.
    Remember this one thing,
I may not be a lucky, exultant soul,
    But if my moment comes,
    If I succeed,
If I find a love perfectly for me,
If I grab hold of something wonderful,
I will be thankful for it,
    I will cherish it,
And I will not take it for granted.

Excellent. I think my favourite is the first one too. The repetition of 'You speak to me" talks of a long true honest relationship of trust and understanding. I think it is very beautiful and you are lucky if this is based on your reality.

The last poem is very true. Unfortunately, we can't all be happy. And if we could, would happiness be what it really is?

Good work. I would like to read more of your poems. Please keep posting.

    Peace,
    A.

Good work. My favorites are the first and third, theyre really good. The first shows the love and understanding you have with the person who is speaking to you. The third is very true...in my opinion we have to be sad in order to find and feel happiness...or there would be no such thing as happiness only a comfortable state of acceptance
