Yesterday I went out and started harvesting my pot plants in the bush. I hadn’t seen them in a few weeks so it was nice to see they were safe and done. I ripped all but 4 out of the ground and then hung them up side down from a tree and will go back on the weekend and trim them up. I did bring a few buds home and wound up nuking them (to dry) – it runs the taste and buzzyness so I haven’t had a true example of how they turned out this year. Cheers!
Well I never mentioned this on the forum before but I do have a couple plants growing around the house so I think I will take some photos and do a little bragging. My son was telling me that he checked out the pictures of this years pot plants grow on the island. If you do a search for “Coombs + pot” it might be a hoot. Cheers!
that sounds like that bud's gonna turn to shwag, u shoulda brought them home and dried and cured them properly
yeah man...definitly dry and cure them with much care. youll be sorry otherwise. personally, if im going to put so much time and risk into growing im damn well going to finish up the job the right way...
http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=194062 not sure how you dried it in the microwave, but the folks in this thread seem to think its the best quick-drying method. i haven't tried it. is this what you did, or did you just toss em in there and zap them?
I only dried a couple of buds in the microwave. I hang my plants upside down in the bush so the thc goes to the buds. I do cut off the sun leaf and a lot of the leaf before hanging them. Normally I only leave them hanging for 3 days but this time it will be 5 days. When I bring the bud home I let it slow dry in a dark place. The plants hanging in the bush won’t get wet – I just do it in the bush because I can’t have a lot of pot smell around my place. Cheers!
For sure usually I make oil from my smaller leaf but this year I think I am going to try and make some of that bubble hash. Cheers!
i didnt know there was anyone who actually still thought that hanging their plants to dry upside down made their plants more potent...wow, haha i mean i used to hear people say this back in highschool...but mostly just kids..... hmm
