Hello everyone im new to the forums and have been eagerly anticipating my first grow i have read tonnes and tonnes of online guides on growing skunk indoors but i was wondering if any body knew of any really good books to read up on before i start growing any weed.
i was planning on growing about 5-10 plants in a grow space of about 1m, 1m, 2m using pots and soil adequate ventilation and one 400w hps light
however i have started to read various hydro books but they tend to be about other plants. I was wondering if knowledge gained from these books is essential or would a book specifically on growing skunk be more advisable.
    thanks alot for your help.
Sorry i was also wondering if any body has had exceptional luck growing a certain type of skunk in this size grow space.

Try The Cannabis Grow Bible by Greg Green. That will suit you perfectly.

I have a very similar setup, yeild well. It keeps me smoked out so I'm not complaining. What strains are you gonna be running?

For your first grow I'd go with something that leans to the indica side of things, they tend to be less touchy with nutes than sativas. In the past I've grown bagseed, AK47 (serious seeds), blockhead (spice of life seeds), and godbud x dreamweaver (MOD seeds). I reccomend all of those, but the blockhead is the favorite of me and my friends, by far.

I've messed around with soil in the past, never tried hydro, now I'm growing soilless, which is basically synthetic soil with no nutes added, so you can controll how much your girls feed. My mix is 4:1 PromixHP:perlite. The nutes I use are Pureblend Pro veg and flower, liquid karma, Cal-mag (when I need it) and I also use hygrozyme.

In the past I've popped 16-17 seeds at a time, and flowered out 8 girls in 3 gallon pots. This run I'm only starting with 8 plants, so I'm veggin them in 3 gallon bags and then the females I'm going to flower out in 5 gallon bags. Hit me up if you have any other questions.

*how do you know when to water when using a soilless mix.
*Every time you water do you use nutes,
    *how often do you water
*do you use a combination of nutrients at the same time when feeding or do you use certain ones on certain days.
*i dont want to over feed do you use the measurements on the conatiner or do you use less than recomended
*lastly do C02 tabs actually work, are they a reasonable replacement to a co2 maker.

Weed likes dry soil. Only water the post once it has completely dried out so oxygen can get to the roots.

I usually only feed with nutes once a week, which is about every other watering. The ammount on the bottle is usually waay to much. With PBP I start out at 1/5 or 1/4 stregnth and slowly work my way up. Yes I feed all the nutes at the same time, then the next watering it will be straight water that has been pH adjusted.

Also, remember that in soil you want your pH to be 6.3-6.8, but for soilless you want it to be 5.8-6.2.

Never used CO2 myself, imo it's a waste of money when growing on a small scale.

    the questions i have are
*what seed banks would you recomend
*has anybody had experience with green house seeds (the company)
*i wanted to go with feminized seeds if any one has had experience using fenminized seeds could you let me know where they got theres from and how successful they were

All of thsoe are very reliable and have great service.

I've heard bad things about greenhouse, but I've only heard them, not experienced them myself. From what I gather the breeder working at greenhouse, Shantibaba, left, took all his mothers and fathers with him, and formed the Mr Nice seed Co. That's the only place you can get real white widow and super silver haze and what not.

Sorry bro I've never tried fem seeds.
