In one of my cabinets I found 'herbal remedies'. There's blue cylinder and on it says "Stamonium". In it are white pellets. You're supposed to put it under your tounge. My mom said she used to give them to me when I woke up from bad dreams.

I'm wondering, is it just similiar in name or does it actually contain datura? Does it work? Or would it?

It's datura. Don't use it thou. Its most likely homeopathic medicine. Aka, there's probably micrograms or less of the "good shit" in it.

homeopathic medicine... that was what it said :)

Could I safely achieve anything from it if I wanted to? Or even small physical effects?

Nope. As I said, homeopathic medicine is basically bullshit. It's false science. People think that very tiny doses of what causes the problem will fix it. Thus, they put micrograms or less worth of actual active ingredient from datura in those tiny white pellets and sell it for a ton of money to people who are willing to bust out bills for almost anything that they are told will remedy problems. Sorry for the rant but people really need to start putting some faith in modern medicine.

do homeopathics always have small amounts?

by the way, datura and the deliriants are great medicines. They work just like benedryl and dramamine.

Find out how much of the plant there is in the medicines. Micrograms of anything besides LSD and very few other things would be useless.

Give up people. Homeopathic medicine is made from basically 1/100ths or less of a tincture of that volume of the actual material. Unless you want to eat literally more than 1000 of the little balls, then give up now and buy some real datura.

Why would they do that though? Plants can be equally effective as a lot of modern medicines (because that's where they came from in the first place). Maybe I don't understand the definition of 'homeopathic'.
