If you had to leave the US forever, what would you miss?

I never said I wasn't lazy. I did read your posts afterward though, and it doesnt sound much different. Of course there is going to be a lot of shit like that on college campuses. Mine is the same way. But there are also a LOT of really interesting and educated people that I've learned from. I'm not saying you should change your opinion right now based on your prior experiences and perceptions like kc mentioned. I'm just saying you should try to be less critical and more open minded about this, so in the future maybe you can extract more from the culture. Then you might think differently, and you might not. But at least nobody could accuse you of generalizations

there are too many things that i miss BECAUSE of living in america.
i don't know where on this planet if anywhere i would miss the fewest of them, and since even if i did i don't have any way of getting there, nor the sligtest idea if they would let me in. but i have my horrible doubts as to how decent any place would stay if they did let impoverished americans with little to show for themselves anyway. so the whole question is kind of completely moot.

if i could live among my rocks and trees and little furry creatures and still eat regular and not be harrassed by anybody for any reason, i don't think i'd very much miss any country, or even the concept of countries at all.

and i'm not even indiginous by birth. just a crazy white guy who reads too much. although i did grow up in the boonies, and a few other little details like that.

and i do like some kinds of tecnologies and infrastructure.

but there's a whole lot that goes with the soverignty of ANY modern nation, that i can't see as ever missing if they were to somehow go away and no longer exist.
