I'm not sure if this is the type of thing you're after in here, but here's a recipe for a very nice coffee Milkshake. I use one of them 'Kenwood smoothie makers' But I guess you can use anything with fast spinny blades Anyway, Yo need lots of milk (I use a litre), instant coffee (4 teaspoons), sugar (4 - 8 teaspoons, based on taste) and ice cream (I use vanilla, but you can use whatever you fancy - enough to fill the smoothie maker after all the other ingreidents). Bung it all togther in the smoothie maker, wizz it up, and drink it down... Pure heaven. Enjoy
I make something similar to that... 1 cup of vanilla soy milk 1 banana 3 tblsp instant coffee (nice and strong) 1 tsp brown sugar all in a blender
I'll have to try that out, although I'm not so sure about the banana (I love bananas, but when I add them to drinks and stuff, they tend to taste bitter).
know what's good....just a couple of scoops of ice cream plopped into a cup of coffee....no blending required....well except for the blending you do with your spoon....
glad you enjoyed it.....did you just use plain old vanilla or did you try a different flavor.....i've only ever tried it with vanilla, bet it would be good with chocolate ice cream....
I used plain black instant coffee (i.e. no milk) in a tall cup, with three scoops of vanilla ice cream on top. I waited for the icecream to melt a bit, then stirred most of it in before drinking it (then eating the last bit of unmelted icecream still floating on top). As I say, it was vanilla ice cream, but this is quality stuff i'm talking about, none of your crappy normal vanilla ice cream, this stuff is creamy and devine, it even has vanilla seeds still in it.
mmmm......sounds divine...... i love me some high quality vanilla ice cream...... now i want one.....!
i make frozen lattes. my trick is to freeze the milk (or soymilk, in my case) in an ice cube tray and fill a bag with the cubes. whenever i want a frozen latte, i just throw 9 or 10 cubes in the blender with an espresso, one or two tbsp of sugar, and a splash of milk. and for those without an espresso maker: you could also make coffee cubes out of regular coffee and put those in the blender with some cream and sugar. but i loooove the ice cream idea!
