It sucks, i am just now beginning to enjoy the outdoors, even though i have had "seasonal" allergies since i was little

but now, i just cant enjoy, granted i only have a serious allergy attack at the beginnning of fall or spring

but im just wondering if there is a natural way to control it, without a shot or pill?

    if it is even possible

    anything is appreciated

Something my son & I have been doing for the past year is eating honey.

I've read several places that if you eat locally "grown" honey regularly it can help your resistance to local pollen-based allergies. It sure isn't fixing things completely, but both DS & I are finding ourselves a LOT less sneezy this fall than in the past!

We eat about 1Tbsp each day - I usually put mine on grapefruit or tea, and my son enjoys his on his breakfast cereal or as a dip for corn chips... or will sometimes just eat a spoonful (don't ASK me how he swallows it straight!)
    love,
    mom

Yup, I've heard the honey thing too. Too much sugar for me though- I'm insulin resistant and a spoonful of honey would seriously translate to an extra pound on the scale the next morning- so annoying!

Just out of curiosity, why the adversity to medications? I was always the same way but when I started getting severe hives, my doctor put me on zyrtec which also deal with my seasonal allergies. This is the first year in all my 19 years that I could actually breathe and have not gotten a single cold! If it's going to give you relief and the honey immunity doesn't work, it might be an avenue worth pursuing to give you some relief!

You might want to avoid dairy during the time your allergies are acting up. It can make them worse. I know I can tell a difference if I ate dairy or am dairy free in the spring and fall.
