Hey guys, I recently made a song (can view it on my myspace, www.myspace.com/_toasty).
I was just wondering if I should change my style. I really enjoy playing metal to its extents, but my throat becomes sore, very fast for that type of singing (Think Megadeth. "Sweating bullets" and "Prince of Darkness" Would be a good comparison maybe). And I have a hard time making my softer vocals sound "constant" as a way to put it. I've been trying for a couple years now to make my voice sound good, and the only way I found makes it hurt X_x.
Take a listen to my song on my myspace, and tell me what you think.
Maybe the soreness is just normal for that kind of voice I'm using?
Anyhow, thanks fer reading, have a good day =)

if your voice is giong sore, you shouldnt be singing heavy metal. I can sing Godsmack, Pantera, etc songs and mine doesnt go sore.

I couldn't find the song on there. But if your voice is going sore you may just not be singing the style "correctly". There's no need to push your voice, find a way that works for you, support your voice with your diaphragm and stuff. That might help?

I cannot find the song on there but your photo looks good.
You need singing lessons if your throat keeps getting sore - nothing to do with pitch control etc - all to do with how you produce the notes. Singing is something that can damage your muscles etc if not performed right
a good singing teacher will teach you to place the emphasis of your voice away from the muscles you are straining

Exactly what bugnito said, its all in how you produce the notes. Get a bit of training to point you in the right direction and then take it from there.
