Anyone else love to fish? My dad just bought himself a new longboat, his old one was a peice of shit but it magically ran everytime.. so we took a trip down to sarasota and got some new poles and shit, It's been awhile but I love snook fishing in tampa bay, and the occasional hammer head for fun. Going out saturday to try out the new boat, and poles.
I like fishing and pretty much grew up fishing, i've got pics of me ice fighing at like 1.5 years old I havent been on a good fishing trip in a while though, last was on a salmon run at a big river an hour away like 2 years ago, fuck fought a huge fuckin salmon, probably like 35lb+ that i snagged by the tail [which anyone who knows fishing will know it's one hell of a fight] I really enjoy fly fishing though, thats one thing i'd fuckin love to do, just smoke a blunt and sit on my dock at my cabin casting away, hopefully soon
Fishing is ok but most of the time its really boring, except when my dad and i went up to the middle of no where in Ontario on a fishing trip. At one time we caught about a dozen fish each in half an hour.
im usually really drunk when im fishing. but its pretty fun. get a couple 30 packs, spend a good hour on fishing then throw the tube out for some good ol tubing. man i miss tubing...
It's not boring if you keep a case of beer or bring a bong or something. I go to West Virginia and up around the Shennandoah River in VA and go to a private campground. No cops, and the owner could care less, as long as you don't get hurt. Nobody would ever find it unless they've been to a festival there or live around DC by word of mouth. There are plenty of places like that with lakes that aren't raped by people around the Appalachians... I try to go to new places when I'm fishing, too, and keep things fresh. It gets boring if you only have one lake, but the place I usually go to has a few lakes, a couple streams, and a few ponds, as well as a beach. I try to find places with multiple bodies of water and more shit to do, make a camping trip out of it or something. I've never been bored on those. Hook a few snook for me. I know people that have spent hundreds of dollars on shrimp, trying to catch a snook down in islamorada and the keys and they weren't ever able to... they ended up coming back up to North Carolina and went fishing when they got home one day, landed a tarpon from a live-bait rig off of a pier. lmao
Haha I hope I do man, they're so fun to catch, good to eat too. But fishing laws are fucked here because so much over-fishing and idiots keeping small fry fish. I hate how many people live down here now, so many boats. I'd love to catch a tarpon though
dam around here you can go fishing and basically just keep whatever you want. We do have the great lakes though...didnt know fishing laws were strict in many places.
