it's a little warmer if you decide to wear a turban. ...and the bible is a hell of a lot more violent and intolerant than the koran, and has been used to justify much more bloodshed (see the crusades, western colonalization). the thing is, what you take away from the bible or koran or any religious text depends on what you were looking for in the first place. If you want to find a justification for war, you will, easily. If you want to find a justifaction for charity and tolerance, you will, easily. all in all, religion doesn't make you a bad person, how you use religion does.

Does that mean he can marry them, and then when he finds them in the kitchen or in the bathroom he can kill them? Of course not. You can do that with any book and your not proving jack. I thought that was just Sikhism. Im not against Islam - one of the nicest girls i know is Muslim. I will have to do furhter research to argue the murder accusations, but I will say on the marriage of Aisha, in that part of the world, and in many other parts too, men would sometimes marry women, and sometimes girls, not because they were sexually attracted to them, in fact sometimes they didn't even have sex with people they married under these circumstances, because in Arab culture women needed a man to survive, so marriage was sometimes just an act to protect the person. In this scenario it was political, but still does not suggest pedophilia. ( I also might add that in Arab tradition, if you have more than one wife than they have their own bedroom, seperate from the husbands bedroom, meaning Muhhammad(pbuh) did not sleep in the same bed as Aisha (May Blessings of Allah be upon Her). Also, if you notice in early Morman days they would take many wives, often very young, because there were much fewer men than women and back then women needed men to survive, and in some small Morman communities they still do that.
