You are sitting on a bus. The bus pulls up into a stop and a few youths come on the bus-typical enemies of the peace) They find a seat right at the back and they all crowd around this mobile phone. Soon a few sounds break free and these kids think they are the only ones on the bus. I mean they don't see anybody else. Suddenly, Neyo comes on with explicit content added for maximum affect. Nobody is brave enough to ask the youths to turn the music off or put on headphones because they know that the youths would simply pull out a gun or a knife or a mace on you. This still baffles me why kids do it. Why they feel the whole world needs to listen to their trash.(Some of it is quite good though) I believe that kids are basically into music torture now. Stabbing, mutilation and shooting innocent toddlers, women and men isn't cool anymore. Now they have to sustain misery by way of music torture. What do other people feel like when they sit on a bus and some youths get on the bus and start playing out music? Should we impose a fine or should we simply have the power to confiscate their mobiles until they get off? Should we have active comunity officers on the buses?
I sometimes feel like I'm the only person who even notices this. You look round and everyone else just carries on reading their newspaper or staring vacantly into space. I blame Ken Livingstone for letting kids travel free on public transport, which has turned the top decks of buses into mobile playgrounds.
I think everyone is scared they might get a shanked. So they sit reading newspapers like well behaved children who are afraid of getting the cane if they so much as squeak. That is how much control youths have on the adult population. Anyway, I believe that bus drivers and adults should try and take control again.
I know I was walking past the pub the other day just outside catford on the way to Lewisham, (I think its called the George" its almost opposite that shop called Aldi anyway they were openly smoking spliffs and banging out music from 2000 watts of car stereo on the pub car park I thought I might go and say "come on lads turn it down eh" but they might have said "fuck you asshole and kicked me to kingdom come" I dont know karate and i dont get paid like a polices man so i dont want to arrest nobodies behaviour you get me obiwankenobi ?
wait a minute... I have to pay a pound to get to school if i want to go by bus! only we can get passes to get it cheaper or is it just in London.
Just in London. You see Livingstone likes the idea of millions of young kids getting on a bus making everyone feel like we have been hijacked. Kids get free bus travel. In London it is apart of the New way.
I cant say the word automobile putting the stress on the first syllable. I just cant do it. It comes out in an equal emphasis kind of way, like someone hitting a xylophone or a frenchman speaking American English. You just reminded me, and now i feel inadequate Ahem BACK on topic...i hate it when people think theyre the only ones on public transport too, and especially hate it when their music can be heard, how bloody annoying
Kids playing shitty music at the back of the bus annoys me to no end. I nearly went into a murderous rage when I saw the advert for that new phone by Nokia (I think) that has two individual speakers built in. Are they trying to fucking tell us something?
I'd agree noise nuisance needs to be dealt with. Get a written response from the bus company about what there policy is on the matter, you are a customer in all regards. I'd think the drivers would need to get involved, they might need good booths mind.
With an immoral population of children. I am not surprised that music blaring out has infact been increasing, not just in decibels, but in the very number of kids doing it. They know they are annoying everyone. To them it is like a fun way of inflicting pain on our eardrums. Parents spoil their kids, that is the problem. Now they have flashy mobile phones worth 400 pounds pay as you go. Since Ken introduced free bus travel, kids have become mini terrorists in their own right.
Maybe if its that bad in your area or pisses you off that much have a word with your bus company manage person and see what they can do. It does make me laugh though because when kids do something adults dont ie the adults always call them youths or yobs or something like that HEHEHE
This is something that bugs me no end. While on the bus once a load of kids got on and had their mobile phone blaring out their shitty music. The bus driver pulled over, got out of her seat, marched up to the kids and confiscated their phone before proceeding. It was a classic. Had this chav on the train once. Actually she had her phone blaring out when she was on the platform when I asked her. The reason I gave was that it was really annoying, however I didn't reveal to her the actual reason why she should of turned it off. She then turned it back on when she got back on the train, managed to piss half of the people on the carriage, but they were all reluctant to do anything about it. So I marched up to her and told her to turn it off again, pointing out her actions were having an effect on other people and that she was being selfish. She really didn't like that at all. I think a lot of people are just too reluctant to say something and rather sit and suffer than actually do anything about it. I think a lot of people have this image of young people as mindless thugs, this is not the case, you just have to be assertive with them. All you need to do is to just approach them and ask them politely to turn it off. Matt
Itd sound a lot different if the word "children" was replaced with "elderly people" and he was old people bashing instead People are people are people. Human beings. And children, infact, especially, are impessionable. They immitate their parents and the adults around, and adults have responsibility to raise them correctly, to show them how to be considerate, patient etc. These little guys dont come out of the womb with some kind of Satanic intent to disturb, for the most part. What J0hns witnessed is just one symptom of something much greater and wider happening on the entire planet, and to put blame on the little guys but not on older people seems crazy and blind. A youngster was playing "Smells like teen spirit" on his mobile on the train this afternoon. Quite enjoyed it
next time some kid plays loud ringtones and music you dont like just go up to them, and threaten to turn them into dog food unless they turn it down and that you will eat ther brain and shit it into their moms grave
My grandma has her mobile phone turned up really loud, but she still doesn't hear it, so she'll be sitting there on a bus, or in a shop with it blaring away. Does that make her just as bad? lol

If the ride is actually lengthy then bring your own headphones, and listen to whatever music you want to listen too. good grief.
ok i was getting on a bus home tonight when there was a troop of like 20 young girls all screaming and singing at the top oof there lungs i mean they were like 8 - 10 years old with about 3 adults, everyone was major pissed and the adults they were with laughed when i said something they had a go at me! for fuck sake whats wrong with these people
