today was a great day, my friend and i went to a hippy pow-wow, and we both danced and sang in a field with beads in our hair and light in our hearts. how did everyone else's peace day go?(for those who celebrated it)-? :grouphug: peace and love,Danni~
hm. unfortunately, not very special. heartbroken. and i dont really have hippie friends around me in my town. But to me, every day is a peace day. So i try to enjoy every single day
hung out with a friend and a cousin. Went to the park and played guitar until some cop told us we needed a permit to perform live. Anyway we kept playing once he left, becuase it was a loud place and an acoustic guitar and bongos doesn't carry that far so he came back and wouldn't leave 'til we did so we left so...woohoo peace day
I handed out flowers and chocolates to everyone at school. It's amazing how many friends you get when you have a box of chocolates! I also made cards for all my friends and I iced some cakes with peace signs on them.....then before lunch I got into a fight with my science teacher. He was saying that all hippies died out in the 60's. Then he called me a fake hippy! So everyone started standing up for me and telling him he was wrong. I felt so loved! It was amazing! Me and a friend went to an all-day belly dancing workshop, followed by performances, dinner and a belly dancing disco. It was great, there were so many people, and everyone was so friendly, spent nearly the whole day dancing. And the best thing about belly dancing is that its so...free. You could move how you wanted, wear what you wanted, and nobody cared. Hope everyone else had a good day!
I had an awesome day too, I spread lots of peace around my school, and constantly informed everyone it was peace day (with a flower in my hair). I also carved a stone with a bind rune meaning peace and hapiness and turned it into a necklace, and gave it to my best friend as a peace day present, and then she came to my house for the weekend ^_^
