i for one think it is a terrible reaction to have it was made purely on race, this was a frail old man in her own words and yes her first thought was terrorist which is wrong, im not sayin don't be wary but theres a time and a place, a guy sweating on a bus looking around constantly and clutching a bag tight to his chest then yes get suspicious but an old guy says don't drink pepsi? for fuck sake it is pure and simple racism! and the exact point of terrorism isn't to kill people its to make them afraid! make them fear death is around every corner from evry boogey man> this sort of action is helping them. you want terrorist to go away? simple ignore them! there just overgrown bullys, the worst response to 9/11 was retaliation. 1. it proved the terrorists point. 2. it gave them a mandate to carry out further attacks.

 

Regardless, you guys still have no right to attack her or call her a racist. Racist is a term that's thrown around FAR too much, and like I've said time and time again, if we'd stop calling so much attention to the fact that there are different races, it would solve a lot more problems than yelling "racist" at people.

i have no right to call her a racist, even though that is my opinion of the situation based on what she posted, but i think it is an important point to bring up. do you know how many people of arab decent get victamised and looked at as second class citizens everyday for no valid reason? and i do think everyone has a right to point out the harmfull behaviour she is performing wither it is intentional or not

 

I dont think it was terrible or racist to think that, shit the same thing would have crossed my mind probably. And I have a bunch of really good friends from iran and pakistan who are pretty bigoted themselves. And they dont hate all americans or our culture like that, but they do hate the govt. Of course thats no different than everyone else in the world including most americans. But trust me you cant be naive either way.
