Assignment for the week:shoot a picture with water in it. Due: 9/30/07 (week will start on Monday and end on Sunday) Okay, let's have some fun and maybe learn something. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Starte By: chuckf2000 This is how this thread will work. We'll have a weekly assignment. Each of us will go out and shoot the assignment and post our pics. Then we'll discuss and learn. When you post your pic, give all the specifics. Camera used, settings (if any), time of day, where etc. You can only submit 1 picture. It cannot be enhanced in any way (photoshop etc). You can crop it but no color adjustments or anything like that. Who will give the assignments? I'll do the first one (hey, I started this!). The next person to post a comment in this thread will be next and so on. Okay, first assignment: shoot a picture with water in it. Due: 9/30/07 (week will start on Monday and end on Sunday) Go out and shoot!! Edit: Oh, let's not use old pics you already have. Let's take them as the subject is mentioned. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
This picture is called "Flush" I flushed the toilet and I took it. hmm what else my camera is a Cannon S5 IS, I really dont know how to use it  I dont even have a week with it, should read the manual, but Im on test week. So I really dont know what to say... hmm I had on Tv, (I dont even know if that's how you say it, but Ill learn, just bare with me) http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1211/1445010254_8a71a9f974.jpg?v=0
I like it. How about the technical stuff? Damn, I need to get out and shoot a pic for this. Only 3 days left
hmmm, I guess caelynn does the assignment for next week. Got any ideas caelynn? Think of something better than i did hehehe
i was actually thinking for ideas, people just PM them to me and we will use them in the order that i get them... sound OK to you?
HP PhotoSmart R717(your average digital camera) Macro setting In my kitchen, brewing blooming tea I wish i would of framed it a half inch to the left and farther out from the subject, but still looks good.
HP Photosmart M420(digital camera) landscape setting at a peir within walking distance of my house i tried to use light better as suggested on my earlier photos
what I like best about your pic is the actual water, I would have cropped it and kept the atention there. I feel the light from the sun is a little to much, instead of adding to your picture it takes from it. But I do love how it reflects on the water and the water itself.
thanks i can always id room for improvement. i didnt thik we could crop it thats the impression i got from the original thread anyway that we had to post the pic exactly as it turned out when we took it...or did i misunderstand?
Yeah, I dont think it looks bad. Is just from the water I get this sense of tranquility and I feel is interrupted by the rest... but I guess that's just my personal taste.
What's wrong? You ppl afraid of hurting her feelings? It's worse to tell her it's good when it's not. Sorry sweetie. You just need to learn to work with light more. You'll get it, don't stop submitting pics.
