can you still get it if you allready have DSL with a phone? im asking because the DSL is taking huge usage at my house, and id like to get cable all for myself.

also how are peoples experiences with cable? ive been using DSL all my internet life and ive had headaches, anger and frustration all the way. varying from common random modem failures resulting in resets (sounds like nothing but not when it happens 5 times a day), connection drops, promised high speeds - given pissy speeds etc etc. i heard cable is alot more stable and sweet. also is it good for gaming? im having trouble daily connecting ps3 to broadband, impossible after 10pm even though no internet is used by other pc's. im going fucking nuts right here i need some decent working service.

also UK wise, u know if you have a fault or problems and u call the helplines, are they as filled with muslims and indians as BT??? im not trying to be like mean or racist but it pisses me off how im trying to get a 2 month problem sorted and i cant understand what theyre telling me - and i dont just mean accent but lack of english also o_O

I have fiber optics and cable. Fios is 300x better than both, but I gotta admit when I had dsl it was shit. Cable is way better man, great for gaming and never slow speeds. Go for it if you can, you won't regret it.

In America I have a 8mb/s and I think 5.5mb/s coming down, could be 4.5. DSL owns ass out here, cable blows and always goes out.

i'd like to see those speeds :p

anyways, I have both at home with no problems, i really dont see why there would be any problems to begin with as they are 2 seperate things, my DSL is simply there for a backup in case I need to check on investments etc. if the cable is down, i very rarely use it

my Cable is the "Extreme-I" package, which is the most expensive/fastest my service provider offers for home users, here's the speeds i'm getting currently at 5:18pm, pretty much peak time:

i pay 45$ a month for the Cable, 14$ for the DSL i think

I moved like 20 minutes down the road from where I used to live and had to switch from cable to dsl and it sucks. The cable I had was 10mb download speed and it was way cheaper than the shitty dsl I have now.
