It has been the big news on campus. This retired history professor was murdered on Monday. Well someone has been arrested. It was his son. I know this guy. I see him on campus all the time. It was so crazy picking the paper up on my way to math and then reading it. He stabbed him approximately 40 times two of which were in the eye. My friend Aaron and I imitated 40 stabs... it was nuts. This guy John... it blows my mind away. read this
That's pretty horrible. imitated 40 stabs? You guys ride around in a van smoking pot and solving crimes?
Well like Aaron was sitting in front of me and I said can you imagine standing over someone and stabbing them forty times... especially your father. So we faked ten and then this kid chimed in saying now times that by four. And add in two eye stabs.
thats crazy, where was the house? A kid was shot through his front door when i was the, but other than that.....
there are no good or bad people. not everyone who is accused is guilty. or innocent. no matter how well you know someone you just never know. no matter what a court decides, you really never know either. pointless speculation gets no one closer to the truth, but sometimes can and does prevent the truth from being gotten, and injustices of opperatic proportions are not that unusual a resault of this. (you know there IS a lot of connection between how history is taught and politics. and when politics is involved, the real culprits are seldom the poor bastards who end up taking the wrap. just a passing thought) =^^= .../\...
murder is so crazy. a guy murdered his brother down the street from me last night-over drugs. very sad.
too true...and how many of us can judge another anyway, when there are always three sides to any story: your side, my side, and then there is what actually happened...
clearly he REALLY hated his father. and the eyes? man, that's profound. that's very unusual and symbolic.
any number of things. resentment for what he's seen, the expression in his eyes, destroying the window of the soul, trapping him within his body, or RELEASING his soul, perhaps "opening" his eyes for the afterlife, or alternatively making sure he stays blind in the afterlife. eye mutilation has a long symbolic history, i studied it YEARS ago for a paper in high school about a story where a tribe of native women would gouge out the eyes of the white men who'd raped them and attacked them.
if a thing's worth doing, it's worth doing right, kinda like 5 in the head you know they're dead. I would get far to lost in the intensity of the whole murder thing to keep count up to 40. At some point this guy attained a zen like state, perhaps. Was the Professor a dick or something?
