I just got my dried cactus skins in the mail today. Ive never eaten cactus before and I read everywhere that the taste of trichocereus cacti is horrible, putrid, etc..
For some reason, either I got ripped off or something, but I've been eating the skins like beef jerky and while the taste isn't pleasant, it's certainly not as revolting as everyone makes it out to be. I suppose trying to munch down fresh cactus would be a bitch, but these dried skins are chewable and only moderately bitter. I actually sort of enjoy the taste.

I was gonna try extracting the mesc. but if I can eat this shit like a snack, what's the point?

So, in retrospect, either I'm crazy or you're all just a bunch of pussies.

Yep, dried cacti chips don't taste great, but they are not vile, just not tasty. I think those who have blended cacti into juice amplify it's taste.

ive gotten T.Peruvianus once. it was ground in a coffe grinder.
it tasted like really bitter sawdust except worse. i mixed it into a smoothie. the pink smoothie turned brown and tasted like shit.

powered T.P. is probably the worst thing i have ever tasted in my whole life. i will never do it again.

putting it in capsules worked, but clogged my system and gave me the worst diarrhea ive ever had. i will never do it again.

extraction is the only way for me.

munching chips is far better than taking powder in caps, or mixing powder with liquids to drink. Much a chip, follow with a swig of diet soda, is the way I heard about somewhere.
