Anyone else into these guys? They've been on the festival circuit for a while now and did a thing with Mike Gordon last year at Bonnaroo. Great live show.
caught them at the Ryman Auditorium (first Grand Ole Opry) with Mike and Trey a couple of years ago. They were fucking awesome! But they really weren't doing anything new. Marco sounded very similar to Medeski and Joe was spot on Fish. But they were still fucking awesome! I dont often commit blasphemy but Mike was average and Trey was not focused at all. It was terrible when they came on. I was enjoying it much more when it was just the Duo. It was fun to see Trey and Mike perform "On the Road Again" acoustic duet. that was definately phat! :toetap:
the duo is badass, i like marco particulary. anybody catch those two w/ the join (murph from sts9, the duo, shields and also another member of the new deal)at re:generation in s.carolina this summer? i dl their show off archive and it is so unbelievable, wish i could have seen that one...
