Dont forget that whoever becomes president in '008 has to work with congress, and congress has to work with them. Whoever becomes president might not be able to do the things they want because of opposing folks in congress in the way. Voting is a lost cause as I see it because of this. What do you think? If *insert candidate name* wins would they even get to do what they claim they'll do for America? Name me one or more benificial things that you think the candidate you've picked out (if they win) will get to do here in America as president of the U.S. without congress being a problem.
First off, I don't vote because I think it's useless. So don't count me as a voter. Second, no matter who gets in, it's all the same game. I used to believe and I used to have hope - and the last time I had that, was when we voted Clinton in to get Bush Sr. out. Did it change the country and my economic status? No. Did I get the American Dream? No. Do I spend 10 hours a day 5 days a week away from my home - where all things I love reside to try and keep up with inflation and lifes economic demands? Yes. If I voted, I'd vote for Ron Paul. But he won't make it, and even if he did - I fear we'd find ourselves with another assassinated President.
I will vote until they take that right away from me. The way i see it, it won't be long before that happens.
