    Corporate Crusaders
    Their shameless charade
    What are a few lives
    When fortunes are made
    Murdering millions
    To bulge bottom lines
    Make tidy profits
    On rifles and mines
    Backing the butchers
    With chemical cakes
    Medical murders
    That viruses take
    Manipulate masses
    Through horror and fear
    Chip away freedom
    While forefathers tear
    Sing to the public
    A patriot’s song
    Enlisting our children
    To cover their wrong
    Sending in soldiers
    Staining the sand
    All for the greed
    Of future demand
    Trade red gold for black
    And Tomahawks flown
    To place a new prince
    On hypocrisy’s throne

This is absolutely superb. What a well written condemnation of everything that's wrong with the way the corporations view the world and us.

I really love the part about trading red gold for black. A stroke of genius.

Mr Alleycat, this is another feather in your cap. Your ever-expanding body of work on here is always a pleasure to read. Well done.

    Peace,
    A.

I've been on a rant since 2003, still unpopular it seems, but more are listening.
Too bad it took one national disaster, to expose another. There is hope, though unless people get involved, and those that do, refuse to vote using machines that have no paper trail, that hope may evaporate.

Thank you both for responding. I'm sorry I haven't been around much, it's our busy season :(
    Thank you for understanding

Ahhh classic political poetry. Only thing I will knit pick about is the lack of stanzas and line breakage but honestly, that doesn't really matter. It reads beautifully.
