    Hi,
My doctor has given me scripts for Epilim and Endept to take everynight, He also gives me Endone. He now wants me to get my epilim levels checked, i asked him why i have to take epilim, he was about to say something like psychosomatic i think, does anyone know why he would want me to take epilim? He mentioned something psychological. Also does anyone know what happens when u get a 'pain assesment' and the pain clinic?
    thanx

um, first of all, I have NO clue what Epilim or Endept are. BUT, my pain assesments at my clinic are just visual and tactile range of motion tests, etc. My doc just rotates my knees, hips, and shoulders around and asks me if it hurts or not, etc. But then again, thats because my pain is mostly joint based with a little bit of muscular problems.

thanx. my pain is in my back and he thinks it might be related to having an extra vertebrae and joined sacrilim or something? But epilim is a drug for epilepsy and it makes u put on heaps of weight! and endept is an anti depressant which also makes u sleepy. But he said at this clinic (which is a psychology clinlic) they use epilim for chronic pain, i guess for pain management for 'muscle spasms' and because ppl in pain can be moody/irritable. i dont want to take the epilim but i dont want him to get pissed off. I asked him about the epilim and he said i have to keep taking it.
He also said when i go for my pain assesment i have to have a 'psychological assesment', is this the usual procedure?
