so i've had this rash all my life (since i was seven until now, and i'm 18)that i could never get to go away. it doesn't look like ANY other sort of rash, and seems to respond more different than any other sort of rash. it seems like my mood is the main contributor to how it acts... so i nicknamed it 'mood rash'. what could this possibly be!? i'm a pretty healthy teenager, i don't get sick very often, i take fatty acids, vitamins, minerals,etc... but i can't get this to go away. maybe i just have to stay feeling the way i do. lately it's been shriveling up, looking like it's going to heal for the first time in months... so i hope it's real this time. but does anybody else have similar experiences?
It really depends on what it looks like, where it's located, and what other symptoms you have with it. It doesn't sound like it's the result of a nutritional deficit. Probably the best next step would be to see a dermatologist and see if they can offer any suggestions, especially since you've had it for so long. Edit: I've seen people break out in hives under stress (among other responses), but never for so long a period of their life.
it's on my stomach. this rash itches, terribly. like eczema or psoriasis would. however, it looks nothing like either. i saw a doctor for it a few years ago, and i was recommended some steroid... and after using it enough, it's reassured me that i shouldn't put anymore faith in the medical industry, so i'm still searching for a natural cure. it's still looking amazing in comparison to the last 11 years or so, but i swear it's been brought on by my feelings, or lack of being able to express them. it's almost as if my skin is trying to tell me to vent a little more, cool off, and don't get as stressed. so hey, i'm listening. and it seems to be working. rock.
