Chapter one: Deathblows. Today we will be discussing Lethwei's ideal murder stroke. This move will kill very quickly, and this move like any martial arts, and more then any other should never be practiced without proper supervision. This move should also never be applied with much force, as the trechea is very delicate. This is important!! Put your hand on your own throat. Feel the boney tube? Thats your treachea. Put four fingers on it, and pull slightly. This is your first motion. With your thumb, feel for the tube running down the left or right side of your throat. This is your carotid artery. Now pull the treachea, and push the artery with your thumb. Do it to yourself with minimal pressure to understand the motion. Pull and push. With proper supervision, apply this to a willing participant very lightly. Do not just pull the trechea. This is your choke. It will take between 7 and ten seconds for an opponent to begin losing consciousness. When testing this move, you will notice it's fairly easy for an opponent to knock away your hand. This is where you will work your set. To set, you will rush your opponent, with your alternate hand up to protect your face. As soon as you have closed the distance, move your alternate hand through their armpit, and swing it up through their upper back, holding right below the neck. Your dominant hand will then set in the choke. Pull and push. Your lead foot. *this should be your left foot if your right handed.* will step on thei outside foot. your foot will be perpendicular to their shoe. 70 % of your weight will be on your back foot. The foot that's not stepping. As you lean in you will transfer your weight more to your stepping foot, and you will Push them with your hips. An alternate set will be to grab the bicep of your opponent as soon as you set in the choke. You will then step outside of your opponent with your leg past his leg, and your hips to his hips. you will move your other leg to sweep his foot sharply, as you use your hips to push him to the ground. You will follow him down with your hand on his throat. heres a link with a demonstration of second set. http://www.judoinfo.com/images/animations/blue/osotogari.htm When you get down, transfer your hips on top of your opponents with your weight on your legs, not sitting on your opponent. Please be advised that this move is only to be used in emergencies, and is not a sport move, should only be practiced under proper supervision, and never with much force. Thank you for your time, and goodnight.
Yeah it was a little much. I Kinda thought of chapter one: Death strikes as a joke. Came out much less humorous and much more callous then intended. Maybe I shouldn't have gotten so detailed.
Hmm... Chapter two: Defending the eye gouge. The eye gouge is a classic martial arts move to blind your opponent. But it can be easily thwarted. By placing your hand palm up aginst the bridge of your nose, you can stop even the most determined attacker.
you'll have to teach me that, cause reading it doesn't quite do it my neck is very sensitive, most ticklish part of my body now
can we hear these in a seagal tone? some ham-fisted political statements, some cheesy references to native spirituality, etc.?
It's very cool stuff. When practicing the reaping throw with this technique, do not hold the neck, push your hand over the head. Only hold the neck if you were using this technique to it's intended purpose.
Chapter Three: Guillotine choke. I like to throw a cross kick as you set this. This is arguably the most effective technique to use in a street fight. At some point, someone will usually plow into you. As soon as you can push their head down towards the floor, and wrap your arm around neck. with your other hand grab your wrist. your forearm should be around their neck, and your armpit should be against their neck. Now imagine closing this space with your crank around their neck. To help set this, slightly raise your hips, while keeping their head low to you. heres Renzo showing it. Same motion while standing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHw_pgVuuCM
i did this to a kid i sparred freshman year. he went blue, cuz he was tapping the ground instead of me and no one noticed him tapping out for a little time. he was a big dude, bigger than me.
Push your hand over their shoulder way past their head. This will gibe you more leverage for your throw. Hang on, I'll see if I can find a video for it.
www.explosivefightvideos.com/fightvideos/572/o-soto-gari-outer-reaping-throw.html WIth the choke it would be the same motion, It would just require a bit more force since your hand would be on their neck.
Yeah, you wake up stupid after you don't tap out quick enough for a choke. The thing that makes martial arts, art really, is that the form is so much more important then muscle, that you could have a 110 pound woman knock a man double her size cold in 20 seconds. kickboxing and jui jutsu. It is all about the specific application of force, not the amount of force. And its so beautiful. Knowing girls who are martial artists makes me crush so bad.
You know, Skip did just start something called free school. It's a how to of online for the hip community. If I could find enough people interested, maybe I could post some kick boxing vids. Anyway, I'm going to go to a rave of some sort. Take it easy Fitz my man.
i'd be interested. i think this summer i'll actually take the plunge into going to a Muay Thai school have some fun and take it easy
