Is all my PS2 will say to me any time I try and put in a game. I took the fucker apart, cleaned the lens, put it all back together and tried again. It worked for like a split second, then the screen went blank so I restarted it and now I'm back to where I fucking was earlier: DISC READ ERROR. Help me. Please.
the slim versions of playstation 1 & 2 are the only versions with lenses that don't crap out on you after a few years of use. i suggest getting a broken version of the slim ps2 with a working lens in it, and swapping out the parts. or just buy a refurbished slimmy for cheap at like gamestop or something.
I took the fucking thing apart and tinkered with the laser and still nothing. Fucking bollocks. And screw next gen, I ain't made of cash. I'll get another ps2. It's my favorite console.
I had one of the slim PS2's amd it worked for maybe 3 years then i started getting the same thing, i cleaned the lens with isophphy alchohol or watever and shit but it didnt work so i smashed it. But ya i herd of alot of people with the same problem
