    Moments
    I watch silently
    As you cry.
    Your tears reminding me
Of how our lives slipped by.
    Like grains of sand.
    Trickling through our fingers
    We tried to catch them,
    But nothing lingers.
The clouds float by in the sky
    Like another moment gone by.
    I cherish those moments,
    The good days
When we lived life to it's fullest.
    Look how much has changed.
Your tears are because of me.
    It's ok.
    Go ahead, cry freely...

    Snapshot
    I sort thru the memories
    Colored snapshots of my life
    Full of vivid intimacy
    And heart rending strife
    I stare at them fondly
Or hang my head and cry
    Truth resounding
    Among hidden lies
    I see all my choices
And what I did with them
    Echoing voices
    Once audible, now dimmed
    More the shame, life restrained
    Life is a picture book
    Memories of how you lived
What will you do with it
You make the choice, it's a gift....

This is pretty good. Pretty soon the hipforum gurus will probably move it to the hipforums/poetry thread. Meter and rhyme could improve, but I'm not saying I could do better.
