Hey! I got 3 job offers today! One from Wilderness society, one from Greanpeace and one from Coles(Sepermarket).

The W.S and Greenpeace ones are recruiting people to donate to their organisations respectively. W.S pays by comission I think and Greenpeace pay $16.50 an hour which is quite good for someone my age. Coles is nightfill work, paying $11 or so per hour. I think Ill definitely accept that because its just working by yourself, listening to music, and my boss is one of my best friends.

So my question is; has anyone had any experience in this field of work, aside from the abuse Ill probably receive, any pointers? Any pros of cons of either organisation etc

    Many thanks

I've done canvassing for Greenpeace. It gives you respect for Jehovah's Witness'. LoL

I could never do it for more than 2 months at a time 'cause it would wear on me. Oh and did you know that I, alone, personally, am responsible for the depletion of the cod stock on the east coast? Yeah...some doors suck.

I wish I had some tips other than to make sure you got some tough skin.

I think I may just do the training and if I don't like it then Ill quit, I'm not sure if the training is on full pay. But yeah, I'm pretty certain I'll go Greenpeace.
    Thanks for the wise words

I canvass for the west canada wilderness committee and really like it. Like sometimes people are jerks (often people are jerks...) but you can meet wonderful people and it's at least inspiring to know that you are helping spread awareness to the public about important issues. I always found working in sales to be really depressings- seeing all the aweful things people buy and the terrible organisations they support without even considering what they are doing..

    (but that's me...)
