i am, bitches!!!! as of about 12 hours ago i am running my very own papa john's! at a substantial pay increase of course... the bad news: i had to work 15 1/2 hours today and i have to work another 15 tomorrow (completely missing one of my best friends who is in town for one day only) so i'm off to get 5 hours of sleep and start it all again. have a terrific evening, all!
welcome to the world of food service management where a short day is 12 hours and a 2 day weekend doesn't exist. i assume they put you on salary? that big raise aint gonna look so good when ya get your check and realize you worked 90 hours for it. fuck a buncha management in food service.
well i have been working 60 hours a week for less than i'm making now, so i don't think it'll really get much worse
Blech, fuck being a manager...I'm a shift manager and goddamn, that's enough for me, lol. Even though with my promotion, I get the hours I want, two days off, paid vacation...the other shift managers are really pissed/jealous, but it's not my fault they were too dumb to negotiate. The way I see it, I'm worth the things they're sacrificing. Wahaha.
