Afternoon! Me and some friends were on the 'net a few days ago after getting mashed to bits on hash, and stumbled across a website called 'The Anarchists Cookbook.' On here there are 100's, no, 1000's of step-by-step guides to create everything dangerous or damaging thinkable, all by using easily available products. Anyway, while we were looking through, we found a recipe for natural LSD: Take 40lbs of banana skins, and scrape the inside flesh of the skin off and let it soak for 2 days in wood ethanol (available at most hardware stores). Drain the mixture, but keep the banana/ethanol mix. Repeat this process with a new bottle of wood ethanol. After draining the 2nd batch, throw away the mush that is left, and pour the 2 banana/ethanol mixes onto a baking tray. Heat this mixture for 20 minutes on a high temperature in an oven for around 20 minutes. When you take the tray out, the mixture should have turned into a thick yellow gum. You then scoop this up into capsules, and swallow. Im currently filtering my bananas through the 2nd lot of ethanol... I'll tell you how it goes!
how old are you? that was just some myth they made up in the 60s to see if the pigs would go as far as banning bananas because they were "psychoactive" (theyre not).
Well that's the thing. As most people know, if fruits are fermented, they produce alcohol, some stronger than others, it varies. And when combined with another source of alcohol, it is possible for the two to combine with psychoactive effects. Its like green dragon with absinth and skunk, or mushroom vodka. And I'm 18...
this pretty cool if it works. and i read that question answer thing. and it says if you smoke them. hes making them into something not smoking it. oh well best of luck to you if it works!
its the same thing. erowid is talking about the "banandine extraction" (banandine isnt even a real chemical) using isopropyl alcohol for an extraction, then baking and ingesting (smoking, eating, etc) the resin thats leftover.
Many of the recipes in the 'The Anarchists Cookbook' don't work, and supposedly some can harm you. Not a good source for info.
no problem and ya, skip is right. that was written a long time ago and most of the stuff is pretty dangerous.
or from fosters beer or moldy bread, or from almost any of the other things people say you can use to make it. there is also no such thing as wood ethanol to my knowledge. what is commonly referred to as "wood alcohol" is methanol and it is very toxic if consumed. drinkable alcohol is ethanol, not methanol, and is referred to often as grain alcohol when in the 90-100% ABV range. methanol often contains harmful additives to deter would-be alcoholics or highschool kids stealing from the school chem lab. all LSD is organic in the sense that it is an organic chemical. there are lysergic compounds found in morning glory and hawaiian baby woodrose seeds, and they can induce a trip similar to lsd but quite different. i would recommend it only if you've tripped a few times before and know what its like, because they upset my stomach the entire trip. not everyone experiences that, but i did. they also make me purge a short while after consumption, but the sickness passes very quickly. still, throwing up and having a stomach ache isnt ideal for a first trip or anything...but i think the positives outweigh the negatives, just not by as much as they do with LSD or mushrooms.
k for the record - my friend Sean and I tried this about 4 months ago. We smoked it, ate, it, you name it. Didn't do anything but give us a mild headache and clog my pipe. Rolled it up in joints, etc etc. I have an original copy of the anarchist cookbook my dad owned. A lot of the stuff in there are theories/hearsay. He also says things about getting fucked up off peanuts. As far as morning glory seeds and the hawaiin seeds -- they contain LSA - an ingredient similar to LSD, but different. Lysergic Amides are pretty tough to come by. There are different types of ergotamine substances that you can extract it from though, certain types of grass and organic soil. However, ergot (the fungus on corn) was the original and still the best way of obtaining lysergic amides. People have said it before, they'll said it again -- Unless you have serious chemistry equipment and some years of experience with organic chemistry, you are not going to be able to make real LSD. That said, its fun to try sometimes.
yeah, but i'd disagree with AA about LOTS of things. abuse of ethanol is dangerous. ethanol itself isn't particularly hazardous, though if pure it is quite flammable.
